Dr. Dorothy Davidson
Chief Executive Officer/President
Dorothy Davidson is an accomplished senior executive who has consistently led multi-disciplinary organizations to higher levels of performance in the U.S. nuclear energy industry. With more than 30 years of noted leadership and innovation in the industry, Dr. Davidson has collaborated with government agencies, national laboratories, research universities, industry partners, disadvantaged communities, and other stakeholders to meet challenging energy program objectives, both at the U.S Department of Energy (DOE) and industry sites.
Her 15-year tenure at Orano Federal Services (OFS) has culminated in her current role as President/CEO, where she directs the planning, execution, and oversight of company-wide operations.
She is a member of the Institute of Nuclear Materials Management, the American Nuclear Society, and Women in Nuclear. Dr. Davidson holds a PhD in Nuclear Engineering from Iowa State University, an MS in Nuclear Engineering from the University of New Mexico and a BS in Biology (Health Physics) from the Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University.
Neil Banwart
Chief Integration Officer
As Chief Integration Officer, Neil Banwart’s responsibilities include ensuring MachH2 maximizes all sources of funding and also working to continually expand the reach and impact of MachH2. In conjunction with the CEO, he also represents MachH2 in public facing matters such as media interviews, on panels, and at tradeshows.
Neil also serves as Managing Director-Hydrogen at Energy Systems Network (ESN). Prior to ESN, he spent nearly a decade at Cummins Inc. He has held several M&A, Treasury, and finance roles in his career, including service as the CFO of a small private equity fund. Neil earned a Bachelor’s in Finance from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and an MBA from Bradley University. He is a CFA Charterholder and serves on the Board of Directors of the CFA Society of Indianapolis as the immediate past president.
Colleen Wright
Chief Strategy Officer
As MachH2’s Chief Strategy Officer, Colleen Farrell Wright is responsible for the hub’s strategic planning and partnerships. She is skilled at engaging diverse partners to develop and execute on strategic initiatives, business transformation and policy implementation.
She currently serves as Vice President of Corporate Strategy for Constellation where she is responsible for developing strategy for the nation’s largest producer of carbon-free energy and the leading competitive supplier of energy products and services to 2 million homes and businesses. In this role, Ms. Wright also advances new technologies, policies, and business model transformations through partnerships, grants, and R&D.
Prior to this role, she served in various senior strategy and policy roles at Exelon. Mrs. Wright joined Exelon from the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission where she worked as an economist and policy advisor to Commissioner Cheryl LaFleur.
She holds an MBA from George Washington University and a BA in Economics from the University of Richmond.
Dr. Elizabeth Kocs
Equity Justice Officer
Dr. Elizabeth Kocs has 27 years of experience in developing and managing environmental programs and leading stakeholder engagement and community participation focused on ensuring that disadvantaged communities benefit from clean energy solutions. She is a community and regional leader and driving force for strategic energy, sustainability, environmental justice (EJ), and climate justice (CJ) programs including coalition building, value proposition, policy analysis, vision drafting, and collaborative partnerships with EJ communities.
Dr. Kocs is a recognized and respected community leader and subject matter expert on energy equity and justice, community collaboration, and transportation electrification. The last 15 years of her career have focused specifically on the energy sector and achieving a just and equitable energy transition. Research areas include development of best practices for energy equity, environmental and climate justice (ECJ) partnerships, transportation electrification use cases, environment human behavior interface, education, training, and workforce development.
She holds an MBA from the University of Illinois, a PhD in Environment Behavior Science from the City University of New York Graduate Center, and a BArch from Pratt Institute.
Dr. Seth Snyder
Chief Commercialization and Policy Officer
Dr. Seth Snyder’s career is focused on identifying market opportunities and bridging relationships between producers and customers. This work spans emerging technologies in clean energy, chemicals, and fuels. His work has resulted in commercial partnerships in biofuel, water, energy and chemical companies ranging from angel-backed startups through Fortune 100 multinationals.
In addition to serving as MachH2’s Chief Commercialization and Policy Officer, Dr. Snyder is a directorate fellow and strategic program director in the Energy & Environment S&T Directorate at Idaho National Laboratory. He also serves as relationship manager for the DOE Industrial Efficiency and Decarbonization Office. Dr. Snyder serves on the Scientific Advisory Committee (SAC) for Argonne’s Advanced Materials for Energy-Water Systems (AMEWS) EFRC Center.
Before this, he was leader of Argonne National Laboratory’s water initiative, coordinating work with other Department of Energy National Laboratories to address the Energy-Water Nexus. He is an adjunct professor of engineering at Northwestern University and Arizona State University. He also serves as the Associate Editor of the journal Water-Energy Nexus, and the series editor of the Current Energy Issues (World Scientific Publishing). His work has resulted in three R&D 100 Awards and a Federal Laboratory Consortium (FLC) Award for Excellence in Technology Transfer. He published more than 60 papers in more than 40 different journals and has 20 issued patents.
He earned his bachelor’s from University of Pennsylvania with a dual major in chemistry and environmental studies. He has a master’s in physical chemistry and a Ph.D. in biophysics from the University of Virginia. Dr. Snyder served as a postdoctoral fellow in photosynthesis at Argonne National Laboratory and in Alzheimer’s Disease at Abbott Laboratories.
Jennifer Dunn
Chief Decarbonization Officer
As Chief Decarbonization Officer, Jennifer Dunn will guide and develop analyses to quantify the greenhouse gas emission reduction potential of the hub. In her research, Jennifer studies emerging technologies, their energy and environmental impacts, and their potential to influence air pollutant and greenhouse gas emissions, water consumption, and energy consumption. In particular, her expertise lies in evaluating energy systems, including biofuels, hydrogen, and the electrification of the transportation sector.
She is a Professor in the Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering at Northwestern University. With a joint appointment in Energy Systems Division, Argonne National Laboratory, Dunn leads a research group that includes undergraduate and graduate students along with post-doctoral researchers. She instructs courses including life-cycle assessment, separations, and chemical engineering senior design.
She holds a PhD in Chemical Engineering from the University of Michigan, an MSE in Sustainable Chemical Engineering Systems from the University of Michigan, and a BSE in Chemical Engineering from Purdue University. Her professional experience includes positions at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, URS Corporation (now AECOM), and Argonne National Laboratory. Recently, she served on a National Academies Committee that evaluated current methods for life cycle analyses of low-carbon transportation fuels in the United States.
